I do agree they probably won’t go back to MO but MOV just picked the perfect MA 2.0 for a winner so I’m not sure it does suit them. It might even attract more 2.0 type girls from MO that aren’t winning there. Also, depending on the changes that the new ownership brings and if the rumor of it being more like MA pre-2.0 is true (just rumors as far as I know now) the girls that seem suited for Volunteer might become more suited for MA again.   • It's 9 months of prep until Miss Vol America. You can shape up a body in 9ms. You can greatly improve a talent in 9ms. You can perfect a walk in 9ms. But you know what you can't do in 9 months? Get smarter. Interview is the one area where even with extensive coaching and work, a girl can only get as good as what she inherently has to start. Interview affects stage scores. Judges who fall in love with a girl in interview tend to naturally score her higher in other competitions.   • This is a positive post from someone believing she can win if she works at what matters & face it, in MA size does matter proven by the fact that not one plus sized girl has been crowned & they were shut out of T5 at MO this year. This is decent advice. The gown could work if she trained to keep her shoulders rolled back & down. Reframing her eyeliner & tweaking her brow so her arch matches her eye shape will open up her eyes. The halter style black dress she wore for introductions is really flattering on her. It balances her shoulders & minimizes her chest area, solving the posture issue, while it draws the eye to her face > which she has the face for. (She's the rare person whose face is symetrical enough to where she can part her hair in the middle and actually look good.) Some crafty shading with Sally Hanson leg makeup on the backs of her arms would be slimming. Every girl should use makeup, hair style/color, & wardrobe to make the most of who they are!   1. Lora winning MO under so much scrutiny + covid took a toll on everything and they couldn’t get even 4 girls for it to stay a closed competition which is what they’d always done.

  2. Now that MA has decided to allow virtual sweeps with no requirement to have done even one local it hurts all the other local programs. Why do one if you think you’ll get one of the sweeps titles? As more locals drop there will be more sweeps titles available.
