[> [> Subject: Yes, for a BRAND NEW program with no history, vs the MOSP with a rich history and declining numbers. Miss Ohio Volunteer should be proud of what they're doing!

They are awarding their winner $5,000; 1RU $1,000. Not shabby at all!

[> [> Subject: 6 that chose to NOT participate in Miss Ohio. Remember the NONE of the top 10 from Miss Ohio are returning to Miss Ohio. Let that sit for a minute….

[> [> [> Subject: Yes, let that resonate for a moment. No returns from Top 10, and solid candidates entering an alternate program in an inaugural year , that proves to be a solid and strong program!!!

[> Subject: If you think 6 girls during all this turmoil was bad, look at MO local recruitment this year. Other than Lake Fest (with new girls who only compete there) they've had ZERO new recruits. Zero - zilch - zip. All contestants have competed in Miss Ohio locals/state, or other state pageants. THAT's not a number for sustainability.

[> Subject: Ask the 4 out of 6 girls who completed for VOL that also competed in MAO how their experience was. I spoke to one of them and she said her time there was so much more uplifting, supportive, transparent, positive, etc. than when she competed in MAO. If you ask me, it doesn’t matter how many contestants they had the first year because now that word is out how much better the VOL board treats their girls, this is only the beginning.
