Author: No name [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 18:50:52 12/18/21 Sat Now that the national pageant (sorry, COMPETITION) is over, do you think they'll keep Steven and company in charge? The other two groups that applied for the franchise a few years ago have all moved on. One group runs Volunteer and the other split up (and some moved out of Ohio). What do you think will happen? [> Subject: Miss Northwestern Ohio Is no longer a prelim at all. Same with Oxford /Talawanda. Miami Valley/Montogomery County still TBD, Capital City/Franklin County also still TBD (assuming those aren’t happening.) Shawnee/Portsmouth is scheduled but have not heard of anyone registered and no real social media about it. (Wonder what’s happening there.) So far there are 4 preliminary winners. Not counting Shawnee/Portsmouth because who knows if that is a go, only Miss North Coast Greater Cleveland with 3 crowns (Greater Cleveland, Northern Ohio and Spirit of Ohio) are left plus sweeps. Without sweeps that’s only 8 titleholders and that’s if there’s enough signed up for Greater Cleveland. Can they/should they even hold a Miss Ohio with so few candidates? I would be disappointed if I hadn't decided the 100th would be my last. The handling of the Covid exposure was irresponsible. Shantel’s lucky the Miss A’s said yes on Tuesday, after losing all the judges and hosts Sunday night. They never announced how the girls were scored for prelims or finals by the t h r e e judges. OH has most control over their state…and if people protest and refuse to participate, attention will be paid and possible change may take place.
