Did anyone else have ambivalent feelings when seeing or hearing a spanking?

l know I certainly did. Now obviously if you were shortly going to get a spanking yourself then any enjoyment, excitement and satisfaction you might experience from some other kid getting their butt blistered would be tempered and compromised by the fact that your own behind would soon be in 'the firing line'! Likewise if you had just had your spanking/whupping you would be far too preoccupied with how much your own bottom still hurt to take full delight in any other spanking that was taking place.

But even when my own backside was safe and unscathed and I could enjoy seeing or hearing another kid get a spanking I often felt ambivalent about it. Firstly, although, on this occasion, I was not getting spanked myself, I knew only too well that it would not be long before it would be me receiving a spanking for some misbehavior, misdemeanor or infraction. Secondly, on a purely human level, I often felt some compassion, empathy and sympathy for the kid/teenager getting spanked. Knowing just how much spankings hurt I found after the first fifteen to twenty spanks, by which time the 'offender' was invariably crying, sobbing and often bawling, that my initial enjoyment, excitement and as I got older, sexual arousal, was tempered by more compassionate emotions. I remember thinking to myself that surely they - the kid being spanked - have had enough. A lesson has been learned; the point has been gotten across; an 'impression' has been made; etc.... Did they have to continue the pain, humiliation and suffering.... And yet, especially if it was a female getting her rump roasted, I found I was consumed by conflicting emotions, especially as I approached and hit puberty! When along with enjoying the spanking I often got 'my first impromptu lessons concerning the female anatomy'!

Did anyone else experience these ambivalent feelings and conflicting emotions?
