 I don't know if it's mature or merely practical. I just need to keep things in perspective.

I hadn't thought of my brother-in-law as a potential disciplinarian and don't think my sister had either. The idea arose out of a conversation I was having with her. I went to visit her one morning and she was complaining and whining about her bottom still being sore from a spanking that he had given her a couple nights before. I told her she was lucky to have a husband who disciplined her when she needed it. She said if I thought she was so lucky, maybe I should be disciplined by him too. She got the wheels rolling, with my permission, and soon I had a new disciplinarian.

Establishing how the disciplinary arrangement would work was between him and me. He asked me about my past spankings, especially those my ex-husband gave me. He asked me about my behavior and attitude and wanted to know what needed to be improved. From there, we (mostly he) came up with a plan. In a nutshell, we meet once a month to talk about how I've been behaving. If he's not pleased with what he hears, he gives me a spanking at the end of the meeting. In between meetings, I'm expected to contact him if I really slip up (these are biggies, things that shouldn't wait, like lying or being disrespectful). When I've made such a report, he's come over and given me a sound spanking no later than the next day. He's attentive and strict, so as long as I'm open and honest about my behavior, I get the discipline I need.
