Dartpaw comes walking into the room and sits down in a chair.
(Sorry I took so long, but I was writing this story you see, and it took me about a month to write, so I hope you enjoy.)
(It kinda drags on a bit at the start, but it'll kick up a bit later [I hope :)])
One night far far away from Mossflower woods, A hard wind was blowing... blowing hard, and a tree branch was whipping back and forth on a window... and a open shed door kept flapping open and closed...
Tireh the Counsellor of Nighway Abbey was very chilly in bed, for he slept in one of the four high towers of the building and the walls were made of stone, and he had a hole in the wall which was a upward rectangle with two sides that were pointed together at the top, an nice window for viewing out of, but no glass... so the wind would blow through the hole, and keep the room very chilly.
The counsellor was a mouse, a young male mouse, he was very much adult for when he was a Dibbun, When he was about 7 seasons old, he just got bored of his younger comrades youthful activites... and did more time studying, ancient stories of the abbey, which wasn't all that Different from Redwall.
He kept reading and reading, he loved this, he loved reading about the adventures his ancestors had, and he had decided that for his future he will become a scholar.
but for the meantime he would watch over the younger creatures, and write stories and poems.
And some of the older residents would acknowledge his skills and his wisdom among many things.
And after a few seasons everyone thought that he should put his smarts to good use, and they decided to make him Counsellor of the abbey, for his quick thinking and helpful decisions.
(Now by this time Tireh was 17 seaons old)
Anyway I'll get back to the Windy part.
Tireh was trying to cover himself as much as he could in his blanket...
'Why did I have to get the window that faces the north...'
(The wind was blowing south)
He decided to go get another blanket from the Storage room.
The storage room, was down the spiraling stairs, and he had to be careful because it was dark.
But he knew the abbey inside and out, and so once he got to the bottom step he went down a little hallway, and once in there he didn't have to worry about the dark since there were lit torches hanging from the wall.
He found this old door he slowly opened it and it creaked slightly.
and behind the door, was a hallway, and on both sides were loaded with shelves and boxes of any supply you'd need.
The two doors at the end of the hall stood symmetrical across from eachother from both sides of the room, one lead to the weapon forge, and the other led to the Wine Cellar.
Tireh got what he wanted and headed up to his room,
He got to the top of the stairs, and as soon as he poked his head into the room, he saw something that he couldn't really explain later...
'He saw a white creature, almost transparent (Since he could kinda see through it.) The figure was standing by the window...
looking outside...
Tireh was too shocked to speak, and he had since never believed in ghosts at all.
The figure as he could see was a mouse, He had read about a ghost mouse that resided in Redwall... Another abbey far away, his name was martin, one of the greatest warriors ever.
'Martin?' Tireh asked
the mouse turned around, and looked at tireh, he looked abit shorter then what Tireh expected, but he was wearing a green vest, and some sort of ring tiny tools hanging from his pocket.
'you...you... Are you martin?' the frightened mouse asked.
The mouse shook his head.
'hmm... what is your name?' Tireh questioned.
The mouse just looked at him...
He was now starting to get kinda creeped...
The ghost opened his mouth, and said...
'Believe...'
'Martin is with you, and Believe me you'll need him'
And with that the ghost vanished...
And Tireh just stood there on the stairs for quite a while wandering what it all mean't... and then decided to go back to bed and think about it in the morning....
