In a dark corner, she stays all cloaked in black.
Her eyes glint sadly as she looks at the happy beasts.
Her life is a sham, and o'er her face is a mask.
To hide the scars that cover her once beautiful face.
~~The forsaken one~~

1. Welcome to the Fort.

Mara stood in front of the fort, her ocean blue eyes grew wide as she stared at the large structure. She pulled the bell rope hesitently and hoped that none would question her cloaked form and masked face. The last thing she wanted was to be asked about them.
A mere slip of a mouse opened the door and peered out, "Who's there?" She called softly, unable to see Mara in the shadows. The ferretmaid stepped forward, and spoke in a reasuring tone when the mouse gasped in terror, "Hello... My name is Mara. I would like to stay in the fort for a while, if I may." The mouse looked at her, unsure of what to say. Finally she stepped aside and smiled slightly, "Welcome to Lancepaw's Fort, Mara!"

-Welcomed reluctantly into the Fort,
I hope I won't be dispised.
Will anybeast care to be my friend?
Oh how I hope so, oh how I hope so!-
