September 4 2006

A Man named Jeremy Scot had volunteered for a scientific endeavor to be frozen in time to see the wonders of the future.
Knowing he’ll never return but being a scientist himself he knew it would be fantastic and a fun experience to see how much the world will be changed.
He said goodbye to his family and stepped inside the cyrogenerator for which he would stay frozen for 1500 years.

For a long time he slept for days, weeks, months, years… centuries and then a millennium.
And it would automatically unfreeze in the year 3506 and it did.

He stepped out of the cyrogenerator, he was in a dark dusty room, which seemed to be the remnants of an old laboratory in which seems to be untouched by humans for a long… long time.
It was very dusty, he coughed and sneezed and looked for the door.
It was at the end of the corridor and it seemed to have been collecting dust for centuries It the handle was a wheel in which you have to turn to open it. He slowly turned it, it wouldn’t open…

He turned it with all his strength and it budged slightly with a rusty creak.
He pushed it open, and it seemed to have lead to another corridor.
He slowly walked through, not knowing what he would find in this day and age.
There was a ladder and some tools lying against the wall, and the ladder seemed to lead upwards, to another door like one that would be found on a submarine.
He turned the wheel on that one, and pushed it. (It wouldn’t budge)
He pushed and pushed but the lab was buried under lots of dirt, the lab must have been buried underground. (But he didn’t know that.)
He tried to push with all his might, and then he tried calling for help.
Just then the door fell off the ceiling onto the ground rusted through with age, and dirt was pouring through into the lab, He ducked and covered with surprise, and as he opened his eyes the lab was a few inches filled with dirt, and the sun was shining through the doorway.
He climbed upwards and he was in some sort of forest.

It looked pretty peaceful, the sky was clear and there were lots of trees. Jeremy thought the planet would be polluted to a dangerous level, and there would be life on other planets. But no buildings could be seen and it was just fields and trees.

‘Where am I, is this Europe?’ (Where he lived back 1500 years ago)
He then heard some bells chiming, like churchbells he knew someone must be ringing those bells, so he ran in the direction from where they came knowing he’d find people.
He ran and ran, he saw a big red building like a church, it was huge!
He looked at the giant walls, and wondered who could have built such a place?

He yelled up to the wall, ‘Any people here?’
No answer…
He walked around to the gates and started knocking on the main door.
‘Anyone here? I am a scientist, I would like to speak with one of you!’

A big tattooed otter looked down at the man, ‘Ahoy, I am the skipper here, what manner of creature are you? You look very strange.’
Jeremy was taken aback, he never in his life expected a giant talking otter to be able to speak English.
‘What Are you pray tell!?’ Jeremy called back.

‘I am an otter! I have never seen a strange hairless tailless mouse before, you are a mouse right?’
‘I am a human!’
‘Hew…man…?’

Jeremy then yelled back ‘Are you the leader of this establishment? I want to know what is going on, what year is it?’

The otter looked baffled, ‘Hang on, I’ll get the abbot!’
Abbot Terieh the mouse was reading some recipes of Sour apple jelly, he loved to cook and usually spent his time in the Redwall kitchens.
Skipper ran in and was exhausted ‘Mi’lord I found some weird creature by the abbey gates,
‘What kind of creature?’
‘He had no tail, a short snout and no fur except for the top of his head. He was wearing weird white clothes I have never seen before.’
The abbot rushed over to the gates ‘Skipper is he vermin or woodlander?’
‘Can’t tell, he looks okay, but who can trust who?’

The abbot looked down at Jeremy, and yelled down to him,
‘Are you friend or foe?’

Jeremy not wanting to be on their bad side, said friend, but giant talking otters and mice,’ what the heck happened!?
‘I am a friend I am not but a simple scientist, frozen to see the future I did not know what lies in the times ahead, but I am alone in this world and I want to just figure out, what is going on!?’
‘Accust, let him in’ The abbot told the gate shrew.

As Jeremy walked through the abbey yard with the mouse, he was hedgehogs and squirrels playing in the orchard, he expected not advanced races, he didn’t see a single piece of technology anywhere.
‘Do you have any computers or scientific historic books I could see?’
‘I don’t know what you mean’
‘No computers!?’
‘I don’t understand, kom…pew…tur.? We supply food and board here, and to protect creatures from vermin attacks, we have the finest warriors you are always safe at Redwall Abbey.’
Jeremy realized by the weapons they were using and the architecture that he must have been sent to some animal Middle Ages.
‘Are there any humans around?’
‘Are you a human?’
‘Yes.’ Jeremy sighed.
‘I have never seen or heard of humans before, you are the first of a human sighting Redwall ever had; There must be more of you across the sea.’
Jeremy then realized something, there must be records of what happened back in the abandoned lab but first he must make friends with these creatures. Whatever they are.
Man he felt strange he would just have to get used to things.

I like it! I've tried combing Redwall and the real world before, too, but it didn't really work for me. But it apparently does for you! (NT)Friulla Goldtail Manytalents23:42:30 05/14/03 Wed
That was a cool story.Though I wonder what happened while he was frozen.Maybe there was a collapse in the Space Time Continuom!Just joking. (NT)Jordan the Wanderer23:51:06 05/14/03 Wed
