Tomorrow! The feast is tomorrow! The though that ran through my mind, and most of the other younger beasts was happy. As the night before the feast came, I entered a sparring match with the Shadowknight and Ranger's sons. We had fun, and we all ended up evenly, for we all had about... no expirience, whatsoever. As soon as i put my sword away in my room, and got into bed, I was asleep.
Brightfire wasn't. His armies were ready, and they attacked that night. Sneaking up to the guards, they killed several, beofre the alarm was sounded. Those armies that were in the castle fought, and fought hard, and valitently. But it would all be in vain, for Brightbfire had surprise, and time on his side. How did he have time? His armies were not scattered.
Smoke? Why smoke? And who's screaming? "Attack! We're under attack!" What is going on? That was my wakeing moment, on a day that should have been happy. I took about ten minutes to figurte out what was happeing, and then I took my sword, and tried to help. Unfortunatly, I was to become something else...
