Well, it depends on your belief I guess.

You try to make it seem that only a few insignificant persons throughout time did not agree with what you think is the status quo.

Isn't it strange though that Buddhists see Buddhist images and visions. Hindus see Hindu images and visions. Christians see Christian images and visions. It goes on and on. Gopi appears to be correct, in this regard, as far as the visions are "subject" generated. Ramana Maharishi also has said the same, as have many others. If you would study the highest teachings of Buddhism you would find agreement with Gopis statements.

Also note that Buddhists deny the existence of God as creator.

All of Sant Mat, including Kirpal Singh, claims that the founders of all the world religions, including yogis and up to yogishwars (incarnations), are not enlightened but only half way realized. Kabir claimed the same as well.

It is all based on our belief. Our belief is largely based on greed and fear. Greed for heaven and Fear of hell. Usually whomever touches our Greed/Fear the strongest gets our devotion. We usually begin our path based not on any sort of enlightenment but ignorance. As long as Greed/Fear remain, our ignorance and dependence to a savior remains, regardless of our visions and experiences and resulting belief modifications.

Maybe later, I will post a quote from
Buddha explaining this phenomenon.
