I am certainly not impressed with any of them based on their photo in the Trinidad Express (2nd April, 2011). Let me be clear, these are pretty ladies by everyday standard but we are looking for a world beauty so I have to be blunt since pussyfooting around the facts seem to not work with the franchise holder. Here are my initial comments: Brittany's face looks flawless but she appears to be a bit thick, Nariba looks scrawny and Nisa just looks plane short. Nariba needs to do something different with her hair. Valene was an excellent MW rep who happened to be one of the slimest MW reps (possibly the slimest ever) that TT has sent to the competition. However, the word 'scrawny' never entered my mind when I saw Valene's photos. I don't think it is a good thing when the first thing that comes to mind when I see a delegate is 'scrawny'-case and point the majority of the clappers at last year's edition of MWTT. Please get a competitive winner this time folks! I don't plan to bash you but after the last 2 disasters, I plan to be honest and straightforward with my comments. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]

The photos look heavily airbrushed. Ms. Edwards has a very 'model' look and I am not too sure about her fitting the mould of a 'beauty queen.' The long hair down is certainly a drastic improvement from the Express pic though. Brittany has the classic 'girl next door look' and her face looks simply stunning but I really cannot tell what her body would look like in a swimsuit from those pics-stunning face nonetheless. Nisa is beautiful but I don't think she is in contention and the photographer has over airbrushed her face in some of the photos. That being said, with all the photoshop these days you can't be certain who is really the contender until she strolls out on stage in front of the TV cameras. So you never know! P.S. Whoever styled the ladies for their intro to the media, needs to learn that sometimes less is more. The outfits for the 3 taller ladies were just too busy-Brittany looked like she was 15 lbs heaver than she is in the official photos (yes, burn that white jacket) and Ms. Edwards has a very strong jawline so they should have focused on better hair and makeup to soften her strong facial features. Additionaly, the layering and multiple chains is just too busy. The public wants to SEE THE LADIES, not a busy jumble that looks like someone vomited a pack of skittles. Here features are so strong that she literally looks like she could beat the crap out of someone. Lol! She is very modelesque though. I thik she would probably look a little better with a couple of pounds added on though. All 3 ladies have good looks but I am very cautious to say they are beautiful (even if they do look beautiful in the pics)because of the heavy photoshop and the past 2 editions of the pageant.
