In my opinion there is literally only one obvious choice - Lee Ann Forbes. She is absolutely what MW and Mrs. Morley are looking for. She is on-par with the best we have sent to MW -Jiselle, Valene and Gabby. Should she win, I hope Mr. Ragunanan really does what is in the best interest of the Nation and asks for input from Adrian Raymond when it comes to interview prep. We are a small country and ladies like this only come round once in a lifetime. Realistically, I have to say that from a physical standpoint, she is the best we have had since Wendy with only Valene and Gabby coming close. I am just hoping that the judging panel is not the utter mess we saw last year. Now, with respect to the final 8-I have to say that Mr. Ragunanan is definitely listening to what is being said and growing from it. We are a small country and I don't see why the number of finalist for any beauty pageant should ever reach double digits. Additionally, this year every lady in the line up has something special about her look but we have to choose the best BEAUTY and WORLD CLASS COMPETITOR! With proper interview prep. our rep. will score above 9.20 so I am not even going to pretend that that should be a major issue. Vaneeta is a beauty who should be looked at for a future pageant (at least based on the pics that have been released). I need to see more of Anna Rosa and Couva. All the others in my opinion don't have a chance at making the finals of MW on beauty merit and should be out of contention for a top 3 spot at the local final (but then again we all saw the CRAZY that was the local final of MWTT2010). Nariba is 1000% high fashion model, the type Calvin French loves and I expect her to win top Model TT. That being said I don't see anything that says 'beauty queen' about her. Nariba could create a stirr among pageant fans, place in the top 10 of Top Model and top 30 of Beachbeauty but that is it. I don't see the sense in wasting a couple hundred thousand dollars to send a real high fashion model to MW2011 to clap for the final-the only real event at the month long pageant that matters, in terms of branding TT. However, I would be lying if I said I don't want her to reenter another pageant. I am extremely interested in seeing Nariba in about the next 2-3 years when her body has matured a bit and she has naturally put on about 10 lbs or so. She still has a unique look but can never be a beauty queen within the next year. If in a couple years her facial features soften a bit then I would probably say she could realistically compete for an international final. O.K. so I have have stated what is my opinion in terms of beauty. However, this is what I predict for the final 3: 1. LeeAnn Forbes 2. Nariba 3. Vaneeta I just hope the local judges know a beauty queen when they see her and are not just impressed with how fit and toned a delegate is. We need judges that can discriminate between the two.
