I watched the MU2008 rerun this evening, and then watched the prelim clips on the MU website of those 'surprise' top15 candidates and ive noticed one common thing - their walk (particularly) in the evening gown segment... they took their time to get to each mark, and didnt get caught up in walking to the beat of the music! Also, as exotic and greek-like she looked, i'll have to say that if there's anything that couldve costed points was the actual gown. I get the floaty effect the designer was goin for but all that material left Anya looking short and shapeless, and didnt give the judges much of a silhouette to look at. Perhaps be better if the outer layer was more sheer and/or the inner layer a darker colour, even a print? Is it me or did anyone find the scoring this year, weird?
