... that is what is needed to survive in this era. Peter Elias and company usually send ladies who screen and who they think have potential to the fashion houses to model. I think he now needs to tell the fashion houses to send ladies they think can make it to him. This is where the private screening date would be useful-no freakin' model will want to stand out for 2-3 hours for something that may not happen, not to mention women who live abroad-let them send in applications so at least the pageant company can tell them if it would be worth it to come to the screenings.

Additionally, I personally think we should never have to see another MT&T without a great catwalk. It is very good that we allow the women to be themselves but at the same time the pageant company needs to understand that these women need to follow some direction particularly for the prelims and finals when it comes to stage presentation and their entire look. The prelim pic of Maggie is a great example. Maggie has very strong features but her hair and makeup were on-point for the prelims of MU2005. She looked freakin' hot for the prelim then for the final I have to say SHE decided to do the curly hair (because I doubt Peter with functioning eyesight would have allowed her to do that mess for the finals)-different is not always better as was the case. She looked totally out of place for the final. I mean come on people- MUO is basically using MU as a marketing brand/image-if they ask for a glass bottle why the heck we trying to give them a freakin' tin can? Give MUO what it wants-plane and simple.

We don't have to look for another Wendy-PERIOD! As you said C, those days are long gone. Beauty is 90% of the title! That's the direction the pageant is following and we could fuss all we want about how intelligent the girl is but if we don't give MUO what it wants then we are out of the semis.
