Not according to your understanding. You and the "Borg collective" don't call that victimization.

The Roman empire and the provincials in the priesthood in Jerusalem were convinced that Jesus got exactly what he deserved, and that he was only a victim of his own misbehavior. And Jesus told his disciples that if they followed him, they'd get exactly what he got. Bascially you are saying is that Price oculdn't be a vicdim because he isn't following Christ.

That's what "take up your cross" means in reality, John. Christ told his disciples that if they followed him that, figuratively speaking, they were already "on their way to the gallows." Despite modern misconceptions, that expression "cross to bear" doesn't refer to something like having to raise a kid with autism, or having a rotten mother-in-law.

And in postChristian churches like the Community of Christ, if one follows Christ, sooner or later one is going to exhibit some form of behavior that liberal bigotry cannot tolerate -- hence reprisals can be expected.
