I blame sleep deprivation for my post above. Last night and this morning too.

I watched Letterman again, and you're both right, of course. DD did bring up the lawsuit when Letterman asked about the XFiles. Very astute, you two, on your opinions as to why. I think you are both right. He doesn't want to talk about other aspects of the show esp S8 so it was a clever way to fill the time, and, it was a clever dig at those who won't quit bugging him about the lawsuit. Yep, it certainly seemed staged. I think I was expecting too much, maybe, about wanting info on the XFiles.

And the decaf thing didn't interrupt his spiel about the elevator thing but his description of the movie. Still dumb, IMHO, to interrupt the guest with such as that.

Yeah, I thought he looked a little dumpy. That lovely suit was just ragged with the shirt untucked. Was it green? It was on my tv.

I highly respect you kenamom in that you don't like DD but can still say nice things about his interviews.To return the favor, I offer a couple of not so nice ones. I remember an interview I read when he was promoting the movie in Europe, and sorry, but I don't know how to retrieve it now, but it was awful. He was very rude and insulting to the interviewer and the people around him, and I was so upset that this person I admired would go to a foreign country and be an "ugly American". I even wrote letters protesting his foul behavior. Then do you remember the brief interview on ET a few years ago where he made the remark about some of the fans being "pseudo-intellectuals"? And then added as an afterthought to the interviewer "bet that won't be shown", or be aired, whatever, and it was. He thought he was being funny, I thought, but he insulted alot of people. There was alot of posts about his statement over on the old Forum at that time. You are right, he's never been very easy in the press about his fans.

Hopefully his appearance on Rosie tomorrow will be a good one!
