that you say most of the people on your list think they were involved before all things because I know a lot of people seem to talk about that like that's when it started although I may not believe that's the case myself.

So have the people on your list taken a poll regarding what ep things did start? We may never get a definitive answer from CC. Maybe he doesn't want to limit all the fanfic authors by telling them!
Not that it would, anyone call still come up with their own ideas, that's part of the fun of fanfic. But I wonder what the reaction would be if we did get an answer? If we get a very strong clue in some future ep just when things began, would it alter how the fanfic world thinks?

I used to read Star Wars fanfic years ago. I think even years before I was reading, after the first movie came out their used to be stories where some people put Leia and Luke together. But once everyone learned they were brother and sister that all stopped and it was just Han and Leia stories. I don't know what the term was for them. They didn't have the word 'shipper'in the Star Wars fan universe!

As for M&S I always prefer the 'not yet involved' or ones where they will get involved during the story or even ones where nothing has happened yet at all but there's a hint of things to come. First kiss stories are nice too. Maybe I haven't read as many stories as you so I'm not tired of them yet.
