Subject: We can start sharing rooms [Requiem]

Well well well, at last I have seen Requiem. The TV hasn't even had a chance to cool down and I'm on here givng my report. I loved this show. I mean who wouldn't. It had everything and I thought it was a great summation of the last 7 years. All the people who mattered were in it and at times, although it felt as though they were jumping from lilypad to lilypad trying to fit everything in, they still did it very well. It still wasn't stilted. Only just though.

I can't believe Mulder jobbed the auditor. That was amazing and Scully just loved that too. Her words to the auditor were very fitting as well. She didn't say she didn't believe. I was hysterical when i saw the Fowley lookalike light up a fag [that's what we call cigarettes here in Oz] for cancerman and he puffed it through his throat thingy. What a scream. The man is on his death bed and he is still smoking. And they say it is bad for your health. :-)

I didn't know anything about this show as far as details went. I'm glad because it was all a surprise for me. Even when Mulder got abducted I couldn't believe it. When Skinner was looking for him and I saw he was inside the force field I was just yelling "NO no no no" . This is how little I really knew of the show.

Now for the debate about Scully fainting whenever aliens were mentioned. Did anyone notice that when she got dizzy talking to Billy she was down on the ground and stood up. This happens sometimes if you get up too quickly and considering her condition , quite natural. Also when she was getting ready for bed she was probably bending down doing something and then stood up and got dizzy so I don't think there is anything remotely alien oriented in her fainting spells/pregnancy. Of course she fainted when she realised that Mulder was the one who was in danger of being abducted. I loved the way she just went down like a sack of spuds. I thought this was very symbolic of times to come when the LGM will be there to catch her or stop her from falling so to speak. Her support net, of sorts.

Now for the shippy stuff. Thank you CC oh great guru of Ship. This has got to be the shippiest ep yet. The bed scene was ......well it looked a bit weird after watching it a million times on my small computer window. But it was great. The only thing I don't understand is why was Mulder feeling very protective of her right then? For all he knew she was just getting the flu. Why did he suddenly get all gooey , wanting to send her home? The scene with the baby must have really got to him. Maybe he was in the mood from looking at the photos which may have got him thinking about what happened to Scully when she was abducted and then when she turned up sick he just went all protective. I loved it. Very natural and any one who thinks friends can look so comfortable in bed together has some weird ideas about relationships.

I did like the funny look she gave to Mulder when Teresa handed her the baby.

I loved how Mulder got rid of that kid when he found Scully on the ground in the woods. I know he probably wanted to get her some water but I think he wanted the kid out of the way. He was very comforting I thought without overdoing it. She did look a bit wild eyed. Very scared.

The hallway scene was too short but still good. There was the admission by both of them of how they feel about eachother. The look on Scully's face when Mulder said he didn't want to risk losing her, showed how much that admission meant to her. I'm glad about that, seeing as he has disappeared. At least she isn't in any doubt about what she means to him especially considering they are gonna be parents together and he doesn't know about it. Can't wait for that one.

As for the end.....I got a shock to see Skinner cry over Mulder. And Scully HAS to find Mulder. hmmmmm It leaves no doubt as to who the father is. Skinner may feel worse now that he has lost Mulder knowing Scully will be alone with the baby.

Now my fears. I did not like the way the scene just cut off after Scully told Skinner about being pregnant. This was not the end of the scene. What we saw was only part of the scene. Rest assurred that in good old CC style we will see the rest of that scene in November. [Well I won't but you know what I mean] And I am not very confident that it will be as the shippers think or hope. I know Scully was happy that she was pregnant and I know she said she had to find Mulder but.......when the scene continues we could see her amazed happy demeanor turn to one of confusion and fear as she wonders how on earth she managed to become pregnant without the aid of Mulder. Maybe she needs to find him to tell him that she is pregnant and doesn't know how it happened. Who knows what CC will do.

Oh well, now having vented my gravest fears for this show, I have to say that I do think Scully has cause to be happy and does know how she got pregnant and if CC has admitted that they've done it, siting all things as the catalist for this intimate realtionship, then I'm sure everything will be alright. So along with everyone else I will sit back and enjoy the whole prospect of the addition of the little Spookette to the XF family. CC will have my undying admiration if he will just let us see Scully break the news to brother Bill in person. That will just make my entire 8 years.
Now I gotta go to bed. I am as high as a kite.[with excitement of course] The show was great. I will watch it tomorrow on the big TV and get that kiss up close. :-)

Stardoe saying Requiem Rules!!!
