Subject: the end of S7

a-ha! i'm back! - sorry - i had *major* issues with my computer for about a month. which meant i was left watching the end of S7 all by myself and never got a chance to get in on the slightly-behind-people's-discussion.

although i have to say i missed fight club det - i was on holiday - a friend taped it for me but it's not working very well. i don't seem to be doing very well on technical things at the moment. but i will get it sorted! :) but i loved the eps at the end, especially je souhaite, and requiem.

re: requiem, - i thought it was quite a strange ep for the myth arc - it had so much of a MOTW feel to it. anybody else feel the same? going back to oregon was great though, it worked out so well - especially seeing all those old characters. i was really moved by the MSR as well. especially the scene where scully goes to mulder feeling ill, and the lie on his bed together, and mulder tells her its not worth it. i'm not at all moved by tv programmes, but i was in tears by that point! probably PMS! :) but need i say it again, fabulous acting from DD and GA, - and mulder's face when he saw scully with the baby - said it all.
another scene i loved was the scene in skinner's office i think with FM, DS, TLG, Krycek, Marita, and Skinner - how surreal was that?! i never would have put that group of people together!
but generally, the episode has left a huge cliffhanger for S8. i'm still trying to work out the possibilites in my mind re: the DD/FM situation. not to mention scully.

going back, i also loved je souhaite - the genie was excellent, and DD did another great job with hollywood AD. i read i review where the author enthused about having another witty ep, in the same lines as darin morgan - i would have to agree, its been awhile. also, i managed to catch brand x whilst i was in new york - defintely creepy! it was nice to see skinner a bit more involved in a MOTW ep again as well.

so whats everyone doing to get over the summer hiatus? i managed to get hold of a S4 box set, and my tv channel are repeating it too. small potatoes tonight! silent 'h' anyone?

cvl :)
