This episode will accomplish one thing, to further aliennate the fans already disenchanted with the show.
The average fan is not interested in seeing a soap opera riddle episode...They want to see what made The X-Files stand out from the rest of the same old crowd.

After watching some of the earlier seasons, we're supposed to believe that Scully had an affair? PLEASE! :-(

I think the thing I appreciate about David Duchovny's script, THE
UNNATURAL is
that it wasn't about about Mulder, yet he wrote stuff for
his character.

Duchovny ACTUALLY has stories he wants to tell and I think
thats due to
his education.

For Example,
I heard awhile back that WBD *hated* and *loathed* Musings
and this is
what I think what happens when actors who are disenchanted
with their characters get to write -- they invariably make
their
characters **less** interesting because they
love their characters.

In his script,WBD made his character likeable. Thats not really a
problem, but if
you try and incorporate
it into what we've seen of the man, especially recently,
its a *big*
problem.

And it will pose the same problem for Gillian's episode.
