I agree it sort of fits now although with Mulder gone for only 5 or 6 months it seems like Doggett and Scully crammed in an awful lot of cases in that time!

I also still wonder if Mulder will even think the baby is his. He may have no concept of time and think he's been gone for a year. He might think Scully tried IVF again with another donor or an annonymous sperm bank donor or maybe he'll think she has a boyfriend. Maybe that's why he'll hate Doggett. hee hee I want to see that! I love Jealous!Mulder. :-)

I think their big mistake was a that earlier they kept saying that Mulder was abducted last spring and they may have even said May once. So that would mean Scully would have to have been pregnant for at least 13 months if she delivers this May...Uh oh. Alien Baby!

And you know if we do go by this 6 months timeline I think we will have to rule out her getting pregnant in either En Ami (CSM's doing. Ew!) or all things. They happened too early. Hollywood AD or Je Souhaite is still a possibilty though!

I have no idea on the North Carolina location either. Could that have brought up in an earlier episode as where some of the Mulders were from and we've just forgotten? All I remember is Chillmark, Mass., Quonaquatog (sp), Rhode Island and I think one other place in New England. Where was the house that Mulder took John Lee Roche to in Paper Hearts as a decoy?
