Thanks Roxanne for understanding I'm trying to be helpful. I mentioned Mike (Chapman) only in terms of vocal work he did with Deborah Harry. Listen to the vocals before and after his involvement with Blondie. She was good to begin with but he helped bring out more texture. So was speaking about his other abilities.

I hear you on the favorite era. What would be fun with that recording is doing more tracks to experiment with. One a recorder, another a mandolin, you hear where I am going? :)

Also try mixing a version yourself on a PC before you go investing in the studio time. I'm not suggesting the PC version be a master, just a place to experiment to get the
sound you want and then play back to whomever you get to mix
the final product.

You made end up really like mixing and mastering yourself and then comes all the TASCAM kit :)

Good Luck
