Well Brian had definite future plans, and He had been talking to Steve Mariott, and Peter Frampton, of "Humble Pie" and was expected to show up at 2:00 in the afternoon of July 3rd, 1969 to jam with the band to see if they could play together. They had welcomed the idea of him joining their band, but He died the night before the afternoon jam, and they were all wandering why Brian did not show up then they heard on the radio that he was dead. They were all devistated Steve Mariott said in many interviews afterward that he felt that something was awry, with the situation. Humble Pie was a moderately successful band in the early 70's and big in the U.K. with Robert Plant style vocals hard driving blues rock style, (30 days in the Hole), (I don't need no doctor) and the amazing Frampton on guitar he used many of the "Pie" songs to make his "Frampton comes alive" album which was the bigest MONSTER album of the 70's it still has a life of its own, He is coming to my town this mo. to celebrate the 35th aniversary of "Frampton Comes Alive". I think that if Brian had lived and if he might have possibly have joined that band that they may have been a force to deal with. His sax playing, harmonica playing, and his Blues slide guitar along with Fromptons Fantastic guitar work would have been something to think about?
