Officially it is an autobiography. I gotta say I haven't read it (and don't plan to) but from everything I've heard and read about it, it's big time revisionism (is that a word?).

There are people on this board who have read the book and could tell you more about it than I can.

According to Mr Richards, the band was founded not by Brian but by Ian Stewart. Why even write such a blatant and easy to disprove lie? I can only think of two possible reasons: 1) mean-spiritedness; or 2) too many fried brain cells due to years and years of drug abuse, not to mention that fall from the tree.

Thanks in no small part to Mr Richards and the other original Stones (except for Bill), Brian has pretty much been deleted from the band's history. There are many younger fans who don't even know his name. And there are fans of all ages who think that he was mostly ornamental and that his musical contributions were very limited.

Thank god there are people like Keno to set the record straight!
