Yeah! That event in Jackson was super cool! It was few years back, not sure if that's still going on tho. I never did find out if that band was from the UK or elsewhere.
Why were the other gatherings considered *flops*? Did trouble break out, bad food? low attendence?
Over here where I come from, when me and my life partner get
townsfolk revved up for a shindig, the whole town is rocking the streets! We've got some boys from the neighboring county who can really jam out that early Stones music and alot of us meet down at the gun club and really do it up! My friend Billy bob and his wife Tilly get on the stage and they do a great cover of *Gimme shelter*, man she can sing! I can understand how some planned events can get sour on the makin' but it's all in good fun and celebrating our fav. Stone, Mr. Brian. Sometimes we don;t get a full showin' of all the folks aroun, but we do what we can.. and we seem to have some good fun. Well, heck, even one year, we had some visitors from England and they didn't know that we started our own party for Mr. Brian.
One gentleman from London really like Miss DOtty's fried Chicken and other fixins.
Hey Miss Roxanne, have ya'll ever met Brian Jones or any of the other gentlemen from the band? Gee, i bet that would be really awesome, better then racing my old Chevy pickup truck. Dang, that was some nice set of wheels. I had the best rolling stones stickers on that baby!
