I can understand both the right to express an opinion/debate an issue and the need for a more positive, less aggressive atmosphere. Both are very valid needs and rights, in my opinion. However, may I make a polite suggestion?

I have found, with my children (please no one take this as I am comparing anyone to a child and I am very far from the perfect parent), that rather than scolding them for their negative actions (as we all know negativity breeds negativity), rather what works better is to shift their energetic attention to a higher, more positive vibration. Yes, I just went all New Age on your asses, but bear with me anyway.

Perhaps the best way to balance these needs and rights is to create more interesting and engaging topics to divert attention away from the topics that cause that not-so-fresh feeling? I would do it myself, but I really am a Kindergartner in School District 2802 of Jonesville. I know more about The Life of Brian than Brian's life. I am just here to learn about him because I am interested in him and what he did during his 27 years here.

Everything I wrote above was for me as well, because I can be a very sarcastic little jackass to people when I want to be and I am henceforth on a journey, an inner pilgrimage, if you will, to a more enlightened state and existence. I'll give you an update next week and let you know if it is actually working. Actually, you'll probably already figure it out if I am telling people to take the stick out of their arse or not.

However enlightened I may become on this Vision Quest, I still retain the right to go Absolutely Bat Shit on the next person who puts the bleeding Cap Locks on. People, I am in my 40s now. Cap Locks makes my eyes hurt. Please, don't.
