One close up piccie.

Linda's collage is now firmly stuck in Brian's remembrance diary 2011.

I met three (female) generations of a family at Prestbury on Sunday. The grandmother had recently (two weeks ago), lost her husband aged just 59 years. Her daughter called him Ray, and the story went that Ray was a huge Stones/Brian fan who always talked of visiting the cemetery. Ray who lived in the Midlands never got round to making the trip to Prestbury, so his wife who was visiting their daughter, who does live in Cheltenham, wanted to make the spiritual connection to Brian for Ray.

The two women talked quite openly about Ray for several minutes and it was actually a tremendously touching story they told. Of course I told them what little I know about Mr.Jones - Ray had talked of similar things.

The third generation of this family was a beautiful little tot of a year old called Matilda, who had the most gorgeous eyes and long lashes. In fact that was how the conversation started about Ray, as her mother told me Matilda probably got those dark eyes from Ray. I've only ever seen eyes that dark once before; on a girl from Leamington Spa called Avril, but that's another whole different story!

Anyway, Ray's wife left a really sweet note in the diary. She played it left hand: To coin a phrase!
