Amen to that, Fat Guy!

Music today does indeed seem to have been ruined by the "bottom line" money people. It's the same problem Brian fought against in his own time, only it's gotten even more intrenched than it was then. Maybe there are so many "oldies" stations on the radio today because the newer music isn't worth listening to. I actually can't GET a Modern FM music station in the area where I live! How weird is that?

A lot of new music fans seem to be tone deaf, with their tastes running more to racket and high-tech effects than to melody and subtle tones. Maybe I'm just getting old, but my constant loving of everything new came to a hault in the mid-eightys. Grammys are still given out, however, and some of the new guitarists are awesome, but the best aren't necessarily the most popular. I think it's amazing how many of the "old guard" are still out there going strong!
