I watched it for the umpteen time (even though I have it on tape). I have come to a realization that the success was too much for Steve in the beginning he had no private life and needed that. He could not have both! At the same time their grueling touring schedule played the biggest toll on him because after all he is the singer. Let's face it you can still play piano or the guitar or drums with a cold or flu but, you cant sing. I have also realized his voice has changed due to the damage of touring so much. It will never be what it was in the Escape or ROR error but, that's okay because I love his voice now or at least from his latest works to date. It is apparent he does not want the spot light because he has managed to live a very private life for the past 15 years or so. Why he has never married still amazes me! He's almost 53 and never been married! Maybe he doesn't want to introduce someone to his crazy world as he calls it so many times in his music. Will he comeback? I don't know anymore. I keep thinking yes but, then I think he went out on top why bother. But, as I see Michael Jordan about to announce his comeback I still have hope Perry will too. Oh, how I miss getting new inspiration and comfort from his songs. For now I have all the old and will charish that.
