Poet...Counter Poet


For the Poet...Counter Poet Project, there are no rules. The basic idea is to post a poem knowing that anyone or everyone might post a poetic reply or response. Or you could write a response poem to any other work posted here. You can write counter to the original, mimic the voice, answer the issues, respond in many different artistic ways. You could intentionally team with someone to write a poem and response, or let it all happen spontaneously. Readers and writers alike are encouraged to respond; discussion and criticism are key. One main thing I would stress is the fact that we would have to be writers at play, willing to risk and have fun regardless of the individual outcome on a piece of poetry. I guess I think of it as competing against the rest of the world rather than amongst our selves. And remember, there ain't no rules. We make up the rules. Hmm, it may be blurred, but at least it's a vision. Comments and Criticism are WELCOME and ENCOURAGED. As a matter of fact, C & C is essential.
