How can a dancer get 1st and 50th in the same round?? Makes no sense cause I watched and they definitely didn’t deserve 50th

[> Sometimes it's due to no strict rules for judging. -- Inside, 13:35:21 11/27/22 Sun (mta-98-29-135-211.columbus.rr.com/98.29.135.211)

Several years ago, a dancer in DD's competition fell twice during one of the rounds. The stages were not slippery and she was the only dancer having issues. One judge ranked her very well, while one judge absolutely tanked her. As he should have. Beautiful technique is meaningless if you can't stay on your feet!!! (The third judge probably tanked her as well, but not as much as the gent who ranked her near the bottom for that round.)

Consequently, the same dancer also fell once in each of her other rounds (and tended to fall at feises as well.). Different judges who had no idea of the other falls. She WQd, although barely.

Personally, I feel there should be an automatic point deduction if a dancer falls UNLESS there are multiple dancers falling due to poor stage quality. So done with the dancers being rewarded for technique that they haven't really mastered, because they wouldn't fall so often if they had.
