Subject: Visit the near by schools and talk to the teachers
In reply to: To transfer? 's message, "What are the options for Academy dancers" on 14:48:52 02/18/24 Sun

There are a handful of schools in the area
Richens Timm
Rankin holland
Irwin
Dwyer
ML
There are pros and cons to each school and different approaches to each school.
I would encourage an academy parent to connect with the different schools and learn about the program, meet the teachers, and decide from themselves.
It sounds like there are some bias opinions out there. Look and see for yourself. You’d do yourself a disservice to not vet your options.

Each of these schools is unique in how they instruct and their dance style. Watching their dancers dance at a feis, on social media, or video from a major can give you a good idea of their steps. Maybe meet some of the parents at a feis to see if the parent side is a good fit, too. I don't know of any school where everyone is 100% happy 100% of the time, and the differences among the schools make it a great idea to do your due diligence to find your best fit.

You can watch many of these schools perform and see the families in person on March 17th at the Irish Family Reunion at the Columbus Convention Center.

reading all of these comments is interesting. Is the Academy closing or just a few want to transfer due to the BT issue?
