  • Not all solo dresses are unique. That's why some makers can sell at low prices.It is less expensive to purchase bulk quantities of fabrics. If a dress is sold as "one off" or "one-of-a-kind" it will not be copied by the original DM.   The Pittsburgh Feis has been moved to the Halloween weekend for this year in an attempt to make a more enjoyable event for all attendees.Your dancer(s) have the right to dance in the Traditional or in a more festive costume without any penalty.If I appeared to make a comment that pressured a dancer to go one way or the other,it certainly was not intended.Our Adjudicators will be in festive attire and they have been contracted to adjudicate the competitors knowing that there will be a great varieties of dancing attire on display.The focus of the adjudicating will therefore be on the "Dancing".
  We are hopeful that a great time will be had by all during the feis on Saturday, at the party on Saturday evening and during the 2nd day of the feis on Sunday.
  Note There will be Mass on Sat at 6 PM followed by the Party at 8 PM-Music by "Whiskey Limerick" Cash Bar-Party is FEEE

• Ozark Mountain Feis -- The Committee, 09:29:45 10/15/09 Thu
  The Ozark Mountain Feis in Branson has moved its venue to the new Branson Convention Center. This new location will give us plenty of elbow room and put all the stages, vendors and concessions in one large space. There will be no hallways to navigate and no dashing from room to room to catch multiple dancers or risking missing a dance while you grab a bite to eat. Stages are elevated and covered with dance vinyl for the safety of our dancers. The Convention Center is connected to the Hilton with lovely rooms overlooking Lake Taneycomo, Branson Landing and the Ozark hills. Branson Landing, with its many shops and restaurants, is right across the street. We are so excited about this upcoming feis and hope to see you there. Entries will open on feisworx soon.

      • Blisters are caused by moisture & friction. Have well fitting shoes & good socks to reduce friction. I use antiperspirant spray on my feet to reduce moisture. I also wear seamless runners socks that wick moisture away. (NT) -- dancing mom, 17:46:12 10/14/09 Wed
