Rumaki is chicken livers wrapped in bacon!!!! Are there soy/wheat gluten chicken livers?

Shiitake mushroom sliced VERY thin and then broiled for a minute do taste smoky, like bacon (they make a nice addition to a veggie burger)

I would just wrap soy bacon around something else and broil. A bit of cooked potato, perhaps

- Also, a new twist on rumaki is to make it Chinese...so here's what I might do. Get some water chestnuts (fresh if possible, or from a can). Add a slice of shiitake mushroom, a pinch of Chinese 5-spice and wrap in soy bacon and broil until hot! (NT) -- Chrissy in Seattle, 19:28:32 02/14/03 Fri

        MW, you might not know about Graham Kerr. He used to be the "Galloping Gourmet" and would do his cooking show DRUNK. This was years ago. Then his wife developed heart disease so now he advocates healthy eating. He lives near here and shoots his cooking shows at the TV station where I work part time.
