Oh and I'm not sure if small animals pooing at the table would have phased the gentle folk of old, they were used to big dogs defecating all over the halls and even some gentlemen using the fireplaces as privies, I wonder how they kept all that beautiful velvet and satin material clean, perhaps they didn't notice the odd spot and sweat stain eh?
