Subject: Dont know much about it - but Redhead takes great umbrage at Orthodox prayer that begins by thanking God [the pray-er] was not born a woman....does this have a deeper significance? or is it really what it sounds like?
In reply to: Bin! 's message, "Yeah, there is this one prayer that pisses me off- basically says if you don't do this "I" get to decide how you die. By starvation, flood, etc etc etc. It's like um- excuuuuuse me? No. But then, there are some other cool things. It all depends on how literal you take it. The rabbi at my temple (after I complained to him about various things) told me to not take it so literally. So yeah." on 08:51:54 07/19/01 Thu
