Subject: Transferring VHS to DVD

Can anyone tell me if this is for real? And if it is, is the quality good? And if no one knows, where could I go to find out?

Take a look at this page:

[> I don't know about that specifically, Shirley. I do know that there is a format called VCD which is a type of video file (like, say, MPG) that most DVD players will play. The specifics are beyond me, though, so maybe you need to do some research into VCD? I got a few tapes which had been transferred from VCD to a video tape, and the quality was gorgeous. -- Nestra, 11:05:08 04/10/02 Wed

[> Found a question and answer on a messgeboard about this and the jist of it was that it IS too good to be true and that the quality is lousy. (:( Guess it really does cost around a thousand to get the necessary equipment. -- Shirleym, 11:08:40 04/22/02 Mon
