Well, it doesn't matter how long I have been on this path, I still ponder the grey areas of magickal work. I was just discussing this with Scarletyoureyes last week and here I am, facing internal delemas about what constitutes interferance and what is appropriate/right in magickal options/acts. I know with our young children that most of us feel there are few things we won't do magickally for them. But as they get older the "grey" grows (and I am not just talking about our hair)!

We witches do not calculate time the same way that the rest of the world does. (for anyone not aware of this, we calculate time with the first hour of daylight as "1" and do not stop at 12, but continue through 24, with every hour having specific correspondences magickally) So i am thinking, that we would not necessarilly calculate adulthood at the same age as the rest of the world either. I am sure most of us figure every kid is different and maturity varies greatly from one individual to the next, even well into adulthood. But that still leaves a whole lot of really vague and unchartered magickal territory in terms of what and how much is appropriate for us to do for our children magickally without their specific consent.

I suppose this opens up a whole pandora's box with a much wider discussion on consent for doing magick for others, period.

But I am game to have a really thorough discussion on the whole issue since it has been quite a while since we have chomped into this on the forum. Not only are there different people frequenting the board, but we all have grown and changed, and our opinions do also. I figure this will also benefit newbies since this is a a central issue that all practioners face and wrestle with.

OK...have at it!
L&L,
Dreemy
