If our heroes turn out to be human, it's not the hero that needs to re-evaluate but rather the hero-worshiper.

These are heady times on this board. And though many of us wished it to happen, I doubt many of us would have believed the events of the past two weeks would come to pass.

It IS different around here. We used to speculate and have our own ideas of what Burton was like. Now we get to ask a direct question and find out, or we get to read from the man's own diary. And while I will readily admit to not being "hip" enough to coherently participate in many of the discussions -- I have very limited knowledge of many of the musicians that luxton mentions -- I certainly hope that I'm as welcome here as the more knowledgeable fans, and luxton will continue to be as honest, and sharing as he has been. It will always remain my choice as to whether I want to stay or go.

BTW - I have a twelve year old daughter who used to love to look over my shoulder while I read and/or write here on this site. Interestingly enough, she popped in while I was reading this message. I asked her what she thought about it and I liked her answer: "Reading it on the board wouldn't make me want to start doing it." Smart kid.
