I've got 2 kids of my own, Treck.. Freebird and one other that's 5 years younger than FreeBird. Plus, I read LOTS of books on people and how to relate to them... books are our friends, and I cultivate those friendships..*grin* Seriously... just treat them like you would any other, stand firm, stay courteous, speak to them as you would a peer and they'll respond! Kirby is just looking for attention.. he wants someone to believe in him and someone that will listen to him and treat him as an equal. I just give him that and he responds! Meet someone at their level, treat that person with respect, let that person know what you expect of him, and you'll have a friend that will WANT and make an EFFORT to live up to your expectation.

Here's my honest opinion... if we all treat Kirby as if he were a model PoL candidate, stand firm on the rules, and let him KNOW that we all expect him to become the model PoL leader and that we KNOW he can do it... I'm willing to bet Kirby will become that leader. I may be wrong, I've been wrong before, but it's my gut instinct.
