Subject: Shake things up

Just when things look to be turning around, we jump right back into the same sinking ship. It's time for huggs to make some personal changes. Andy and Keith are not getting it done. Legree has done nothing and Kennedy....well if he could not get any talent UAB, why should he be able to do it here? Don't know much about Dan Peters, but I do know if huggs left, an XU fan would have just as good a chance of taking over the team.

I always said, even with whaley and aj coming, 2004-05 would be the earliest we could make a run. Now we may not have either. Excluding Whaley, none of our remaining recruits are any better than what we have returning. Just more middle of the road players.

Some people were dying for us to get in a better conference. Well, it may happen even though we may not be better 3 or 4 in conf.USA.

We're slowly turning into charlotte, a good coach but can't land the recruits. Get ready for some NIT folks.

You think i'm crazy? insane? old bearcatb has lost it? Well look at the recruits who are interested in us. Top ten players year in year out. Players love the red and black, the take no $#!%, us against the world attitude, they love Huggs, a white coach who seems to understand black youth. Cornrolls, baggy pants and all. But somehow we're stuck chasing scraps, getting players who consider American U and Maine. These are'nt even mid majors.

And everyone who beats out UC are not paying the players. They just out recruit him. Hamilton played the near home card which is what he is supposed to do. AJ lived in Conn for a year. Close to home is not that big of a deal. Will he only play for ATL or ORL in the NBA? Pitino don't cheat, but we know he is a heck of a salesman. Huggs is gonna go they way of Denny Crum if he don't fix this problem.

BearcatB, being a little hard on the team, aren't you? Good recruiting class coming in. White, former Mac All Americn, will be solid. Nick Williams may just end up our starting shooting guard. Whaley, although I think he should be kicked off the team is the best big man coming to a D-1 program next year. Pilgrim and Soul are four year players that will take time to develop. Would you rather have a top 20 player who leaves after two years? Armein will be an NBA player. Chadd will be a dominant pg in the TJ Ford mold. Max will get better. - Excellent post Ray. I think UC is doing fine recruiting middle to lower top 100 players. Those are the guys that will be here in 4 years. Let Memphis, Louisville, UNC, Duke, and Maryland have those top guys. It's not really paying off that much for them anyway. And they seem to be rebuilding more often than ever.
