Subject: Thank Goodness UC recruited all those Instant Impact Junior College Transfers!

Much like instant mashed potatoes, just mix with water and out come fluffy mashed patatoes, Junior College recruits are the same way, just mix with water and out comes instant impact guys like Tony Bobbitt, Kareem Johnson, and Derrick Hollman. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention other instant impact Junior College guys like Jimmy Hubbard, Antwan Jones, Brian Bland(remember him?), Marvin Dixon(Come on you've got to remember this spring 97 signee!), Shawn Myrick, Jermaine Thomas, Marcus Moss, Rod Monroe, Vince Barnett, and Mike Reichenecker!
The instant impact these guys gave to the program leave me feeling supremely confident that Nick Williams and Robert Whaley will probably have already locked up the Wooden Award for Player of the year by this time next year!

How right you are. Without the guys you mentioned, we would have a bad memories of Juco transfers. Guys like Nick Van Exel, Ruben Patterson, Pete Mickael, Herb Jones, Terry Nelson, Art Long, Erik Martin, Immanuel McElroy, Corey Blount and Terrance Gibson. I can't believe five of these guys are playin in the NBA, others in Europe, and others starting coaching careers. Man, there is no way Whaley or Nick Williams could turn out to be good players. Voice, what you have to realize is Robert Whaley was one of the top 10 high school players in the country. Nick Williams has already proved he can play at the D1 level at K St. Of the guys you mentioned, only Bobbitt was a top 100 high school player. He's only played 6 games for UC, so let's not totally give up on him yet. The other guys were all no-names in high school. 2 years at a JC isn't going to turn a no-name into a superstar.
