I agree about Hicks.......he didn't look injured, but he really didn't do anything special.....so I don't know what to think.

I agree about the size and strength of our low post guys. People have to remember how Danny Fortsen used to grab 10-12 rebounds per game (and he was only 6'7").......and that's what these guys look like. They're wide and strong. They may only be 6'7" or 6'8"......but they clearly can hold their ground while being athletic. Neither Land, Johnson, or Hollman looked fat but all looked strong, athletic and immoveable in the low post. Even Hicks is a physical specimen for being only 6'6". It's impressive that the new guys are weightlifters. I'll bet Land is 240 lbs., Johnson is probably 250+, and Hollman is 250+ lbs. also but all are very mobile. How many times did we witness Jamaal Davis and Little being backed out of the low post because they didn't have the strength or size to hold their ground? That won't happen this year.

Tony Bobbitt will be 1st team CUSA and maybe more depending on how far this team goes this year. He's the real deal.

Field Williams is much more mobile than last year.....he's clearly worked hard on his ballhandling and it showed. He still had the three pointers hitting the bottom of the net.

Chadd Moore will be our PG of the future. He looked to pass first and handled the ball well. He's quick. He will be a solid backup to Taron eventually as the season goes on. But, I think Bobbitt may end up playing PG if we need more offense.....and he could do it.

Barker really didn't look any different than last year......but it was one lousy scrimmage.....so who knows yet.

I agree about Rod Flowers.......if he plays defense and rebounds, he may be the choice at Center because he has more offense than the others. He looked good, he banged, and got stickbacks too.

I'm pumped. I still think it will take time.....but the chemistry looked good. I think when you have alot of new faces......it helps a bit.....because if you only had one or two new guys....they might feel somewhat intimidated by the guys that have been there, meaning feeling left out of the group.......but with so many new guys and less returners, they have to come together and create their own new group personality. For instance, I could tell that Stokes and Bobbitt were going at it one on one while laughing and having a fun time with eachother.....that's good to see.

Give them time. This team will be good, as always.
