I only saw him play once so take this opinion with a grain of salt. I saw his AAU team practicing over at the Shoe this summer. He looked to be 6'6" or so (tough to tell from the sidelines) and on the slender side. He had good hops, but showed little in the way of strength, passing ability, dribbling or an outside touch. He was clearly the tallest player on the court so it may be that none of these skills were required.

I heard a man on the radio last week (who stated he is Mike's uncle) say that Mike has grown to 6'9" in height over the summer. If this is the case it would make a huge difference. You are talking about a strong forward with hops that can move. The passing, dribbling and outside shot skills are not as needed. But if he is 6'6" then he must improve on these skills.

I do like the fact he will be a freshman which will help balance the class. And it is a longshot for Bass in my opinion.
