(Hearing those words meant so much to him at that moment in time.. it was a reassurance that he was needed. He needed to just be her husband then, to let go of everything that was stressing him at the agency and for him the place seemed to disappear around them as he slowly undressed her and them himself, then buried himself in her. It felt like coming home to him, something he had desperately needed and only she could give him. He made slow, intense love to her, his eyes locked on hers as he moved within her. He needed to reassure himself that he was alive, that he still had her, that even though he made mistakes as a commander he hadn't made a mistake with her, ever. His gaze was intense as he looked at her, holding her gaze with his own as he rocked with her, this coupling was about more than physical need or even emotional need.. it was a union of man and wife, a natural and necessary part of him.)
