Hi Tina,

Your granddaughter must be so excited to be traveling and being chosen to take care of 2 girls for a lawyer and his family. She will enjoy having her own apartment and a car to drive. This should be a wonderful opportunity for her and help her decide her future plans.

It is good that her local high school arranged it all and that she will also receive training before she starts her job.

When I was growing up I use to babysit for families in our neighborhood. One of the famlies I babysat for was a professor and his family. I have fond memories of their children. I was a teenager at that time and they had a beautiful home and a boxer dog too.

Marlborough, Conn is around 170 miles from where I live. It is approximately 2 hours and 45 minute drive from here.

We only got the rain from Hurricane Charley here in N. H. I feel so sorry for all the people who lost their love ones and their homes in Florida. I have watched it on T.V. and saw how terrible the destruction it caused. It changed its route and people did not have time to prepare for it.

We are having very humid weather for the last several days and expect heavy rain tomorrow.

Take care.

Phyllis
