Your little great granddaughter sounds like a charmer, oh and another grandchild on the way..you are so blessed!
Christmas parties coming up sound like around here..our church group party, our animal shelter volunteer dinner"we each pay for our own there" the swim group dinner on the 9th. Tomorrow daytime I am helping get things organized for the Christmas penny auction to benefit the shelter and tomorrow evening and all day Saturday working at the penny auction. For those who don't know what a penny auction is:
There is a can by every auction item.People buy as many tickets as they want-20 for $1. when you see something you would like to have you put as many tickets as you want in the can by the article. At 2 pm Sat we draw tickets from the can and if your ticket is one we draw, you win.If you are not there at the time of the draw we phone you and tell you where you can pick up your winnings. Some people buy $0. or $50. worth of tickets but the beauty of it is those that can only afford $5. worth of tickets still often win. There is a selection of 50 auction items ranging from teddy bears, nic nacks, dishes or cushions, blankets or anything that has been donated to the shelter from the stores during the year.
I love your Christmas draw idea and I really think our gang should do the same .
Enjoy the season everyone!

Ellie,

So happy to hear that you are being blessed with a new grandchild soon. There is nothing like a baby in the family. You are truly blessed to have a great granddaughter as well.

With such a large extended family it sounds like a great idea for celebrating Christmas.

My son and his wife and 2 granddaughters live in Florida, so I have to shop early in order to mail my gifts. My other son lives in Colorado and he will not be home for Christmas. He came for Thanksgiving and we all had a wonderful visit. I am thankful that my daughter and newest granddaughter live near by. My sisters and one-sister-law exchange gifts as well as a couple of my close friends. It use to be difficult when I was working as I had to buy alot of office gifts.

We also have some birthdays in the month of December. My daughter-ln-law, brother-in-law and my friend Nancy's daughter.

We had our first snowstorm on Thanksgiving day. The traveling was bad. Today it is very cold out. We expect some ?light snow tomorrow.

Both you and Tina have a very busy social month with all your Christmas parties.

I will be having Christmas dinner for my family who live nearby and it will be very special as it will be Kaitlyn's first Christmas. She will be 6 months old on 12/7. She is now eating cereal and vegetables. She is a very good natured baby.

Please keep in touch and enjoy all your parties, dinners and auction.

Best wishes,
Phyllis
