Subject: Ok, nobody knows anything but you. Pageant photography isn’t rocket science and it isn’t single handedly responsible for dumbing down America. It’s just not that deep. I didn’t say that stage photography is easy or that Lenn Long isn't a great photographer. All I said is there’s room for more than one headshot photographer and that you should be nice. I’m not going to call you stupid or bully you, don’t worry. You’re welcome

In reply to: 's message, "I guess we all have different definitions of what "talented" means. This is just another example of the dumbing down of America. You people don't even know what good photography is. Hint: it ain't what you're promoting here. Most of these local yocal "photographers" are terrible. But do continue. And for those of you who act like photographing stage productions are nothing, there is a lot more skill required to deal with constantly changing lighting, movement on stage (especially dancers), etc. But again, this just shows that you don't have a clue what you're talking about. LOL" on 04:37:43 03/20/25 Thu

And where did you get your photography trainingi? If all you do is put a few light sin place and hit a button, then nah. You're right. It's not complicated. But if you actually knew anything about photography, you would know about light and shadows, that there are very specific light patterns and when and why to use them and how to create them, how light ratios work, what depth of field is, when to use different lenses, etc. And you would also know how to create specific looks using your gear, not in AI retouching. No, it's not rocket science, but there is science behind it. Oh, and it takes some math knowledge too. But you keep thinking it's not complicated and you keep going to one of the local folks who are nothing more than trained monkeys. (NT)No name16:07:46 03/20/25 Thu
