Hi Donna~

I can tell you this...I used one of those "Giant Sized Plastic Christmas Balls" from Walmart last year. I scratched up the plastic ball and then applied the Mod Podge Gloss Lustre and then placed napkin pieces and applied with more MP Gloss Lustre sealing good... when dried I then applied a coat of Mod Podge Sparkle.

After it completely dried a day or so I took (held under water spigot) a kitchen "pot & pan scrubber" and it wouldn't budge. I even took a screw driver and it didn't even scratch the surface.

On the Mod Podge directions say to "Wet Sand with 400# Sandpaper until smooth. Wipe dry. Polish with #0000 Steel Wool.

I made 3 of these for Grandaughter's 2013 Prom. They were hanging outside and looked "Beautiful"

I gave them away when the Prom was over..actually I left most everything I made for the Prom..I think I was the only "Crafter" to hand make the props for the "Flower Shop" and "Jewelry Shop" that I signed up to do. It was a "Beautiful Night and Mom-Mom got to share!

Long story...I'm not sure it it would hold up outdoor. Sorry I couldn't be of more help Donna.

Take Care...Joann

I did see this but have not used it...Mod Podge Outdoor to make projects waterproof.
