Hello,
The problem with copying things off the blackboard or whiteboard in the computer world now, can be hard. This is what I did to help myself at home and at school was to practice writing down anything without looking at the sheet of paper that I was writing on. Make sure you have a clean sheet of paper an practice. You can even use your computer as the blackboard write without looking at your paper. As for note taking in class; use a small tape record to help you remember things. I found that this also helped me in school. Do not be afraid to tell the teacher after class is over that you are dyslexia. It will help the teacher try and teach a different way. Sometime this is a challenge for teachers but it can be done. Also see if you can get together with other student who are having problems with the same subject. Everyone learns differently and you can learn from each other. Good Luck with school I hope this information helps.

I guess it all depends on what you will be going back to school for. I went back to school for my masters after being out of school for 8 years. Let me tell you...things have changed. I found it easier since a lot was now done online vs. copying things from a blackboard or even worse (for me) taking notes from a virbal lecture.
I did my masters in a science based field. I requested the professor email me all his powerpoint presentations before the class. This way i could review the information and had to take less notes.
I was always the one to ALWAYS initiate a study group. It is easier to verbaly study and talk problems through then reading thoughts from a book and trying to be a sponge.
You can do it!! Don't shy away from something you deserve - an education.
